Born on Nevis Island, she began her academic journey at Loma Linda University, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics, laying the foundation for her illustrious 45-year career in nutrition. Brontie furthered her studies, obtaining Master’s degrees in Food Service Management and Food and Nutrition from New York University.

Throughout her career, Brontie held pivotal roles in the healthcare sector, including Head Dietitian, Director of Food and Nutrition Services, and Nutrition Consultant for the New York City Department for the Aging. Her contributions significantly improved dietary services and impacted numerous lives, promoting healthier lifestyles.

Beyond her professional roles, Brontie passionately advocated for nutrition’s role in optimal health. She taught “Plant-Based Cooking Classes” at her workplaces and within church groups, inspiring individuals to adopt healthier eating habits with her relatable approach. Although retired from active nutrition practice, Brontie continues her commitment to health and wellness through ministry, alongside her husband Jeffrey of 34 years.
